The Waffle House on Naxos Island, designed by A31, features an elegant and discreet look that complements the diverse Chora waterfront. The architect drew inspiration from the geometry of local vernacular dovecotes, which are still present on Naxos. This influence is reflected in the prominent interior walls and other functional architectural elements, which are composed of stacked rectangular modules made of Ultra High-Performance Concrete.

The fully glazed, sea-facing storefront can be completely opened, seamlessly blending the interior with the exterior space. Inside, a continuous counter divides the client and staff areas. A corridor leads to the bathrooms and back-of-house areas, while a white metal staircase provides access to the mezzanine, which offers additional storage and prep space.

Design Bot contributed to the project by expertly handling the visualization aspect, producing high-quality renders.
